PHILLIPS COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIP ARKANSAS ASSOCIATION OF CONSERVATION DISTRICTS - DAVE FERGUSON SCHOLARSHIP
Phillips County Conservation District gives a young person in Phillips County the opportunity to win $500 towards college expenses each year. Please contact the Conservation District office for details or the counselor at your high school between November and February of each year. The winner of the Phillips County Conservation District Scholarship automatically competes to win $500 from the Northeast Area Scholarship. The winner of the Northeast Area Scholarship automatically competes for the Arkansas Association of Conservation Districts - Dave Ferguson Scholarship - 1st Place $1,000 - 2nd Place $2,000.
This contest is open to all seniors with a minimum of 2.5 grade point average who are Phillips County residents and will follow a conservation related course of study at an accredited Arkansas college or university.
Conservation fields of study include but not limited to: Agriculture, Botany, Biology, Horticultue, Forestry, Range Management, Soil Sciences, Environmental Management, and Environmental Law.
